The main site will be put on read only mode for about a few hours sometime in the next few days due to a site move that will hopefully make it so the site will stay up more. Here is what the admin Joe said

Here is the post that tells you how you can support the BB site when using amazon or Itunes
After much well-meaning pestering from Ahhh Girl and others I've finally sorted out some simple affiliate links for Amazon and iTunes. These help give the Beatles Bible a bit of extra income, at no cost to you.
The links are in my autosignature, and should automatically take people to their country's version (eg amazon.ca, .co.uk).
Obviously there's no obligation to use these, but it would be appreciated if you remember!
When you click on the iTunes link (georiot.co/beatles), I get 7% of any purchases made in the next 24 hours.
For Amazon (georiot.co/azbeatles) it varies by product type, but averages out about the same. Again, it's for purchases made within 24 hours, but any items placed in a shopping cart can earn commission for up to 89 days if a purchase is eventually made.
Lastly, the links should take you directly to Beatles-related products, but it doesn't matter what gets bought.
Hi. Joe here. It's almost midnight and I'm off to bed. The migration is happening. If you see a comment by me in Site Changes saying "f you can read this, congratulations! You're looking at the new server", well, you're looking at the new server. The forum should also be back open for business.
I'm keeping the old one closed but the new one open. That's the easiest way to ensure I don't lose anything.
It can take a while for DNS (domain name service) records to update around the world. ISPs typically cache them for anything from a few minutes to a day or so. You can monitor the change here: www.nexcess.net/resources/tools/global-dns-checker/?h=beatlesbible.com&t=A The old server was 184.108.40.206, the new one is 220.127.116.11. When everything goes to the new number everybody (with a few possible laggards) should be back in.
As of 2:10 am Joe's time, we have added Mountain View, California, Berlin, and Brazil to the list of updated places. This is like that Santa tracker they have on Christmas eve and the news coverage of New Year's celebrations across the globe.
Here's hoping the remainder of the migration goes successfully and that there isn't much clean up for Joe to deal with in the aftermath.
