Hi all. Quick update – the server is fine and the site has been working OK. However, we tried updating the php version from 5.4 to 7 (much quicker and supported). This broke the forum, so either I'll have to find a fix or roll back to an earlier PHP version (don't worry if you don't know what php is; it doesn't really matter).
It's 7pm here and I'll be able to work on this till about midnight. All being well I'll point the domain name to the new server before then, so it'll start propagating around the world.

OK, looks like it's working now. There was a conflict with the Ban plugin on the forum, but I don't really use that anyway.
Also, I've just tested the PM system and it's no longer throwing errors when I send messages. Yay!

Well the clock hasn't started ticking yet. I need to work out how to change my DNS records so www.beatlesbible.com points to the new server. I've just submitted a support ticket with my domain registrar. The old/current server is 209.188.83.14. The new one will be 207.7.88.157. You'll be able to see how far along the changes are on this page, although it won't say when you'll all actually get access to the new server: www.nexcess.net/resources/tools/global-dns-checker/?h=beatlesbible.com&t=AIf they're all pointing to 209... assume nothing's happening yet. It was up for me this morning, but for the last 20 minutes, it is locked again. It is now CST 7:34 am. Is it locked for others too or is my phone acting up? I cleared my cache to see if that worked, but it didn't.
